March Break is Over :P

So I swear March Break Just started!! I think I slept about 85% of it away! There are not enough hours in the day to get a sufficient amount of sleep, 8 full hours doesn't seem to cut it anymore! This break was actually a Break for me! I did about 5 hours of schoolwork in total, much of which was done....today. Hey, the assignment wasn't due till this Monday so I'm ahead of the game.

My local mall allows fellow Lindsay residents to walk its halls before it officially opens. So at 7:30am my family gets up and goes for a brisk morning walk, each lap around the mall equaling to 500 meters or 1/2 km. Oh, did I say brisk walk, I meant more of a gradual meandering... LOL! Most of the people there are 5 times my age and they walk 10-20 laps! I have successfully accomplished 5 laps! Thats 2.5 km people! I'm very impressed! I hope to get up to 10 or more laps by the end of March.

The weather here has been FANTASTIC! The high 50's (18 degrees!), perfect for gardening weather. Now that we have an whole acre of property, there is a lot of maintenance to catch up with. In the past week we have taken about 30 leave bags and about 6 trees to the local dump! Many of those trees were sawed by moi :D Oh yah, I'VE GOT THE POWER! My dad did chainsawed some of the more difficult trees....LOL. But of course, it couldn't last. Today is the First Day of Spring, and what do you know, its 2 degrees and snowing. HAHAHA, how Ironic :P

I did go on one trip during March Break. My youth group went to some popular religious sites in Ontario: Martyrs Shrine (dedicated to martyrs of the Catholic Faith); Carhagouha, site of the first Catholic Mass in Ontario; St. Louis, the site of the capture of martyrs St. Jean de Brebeuf and St. Gabriel Lalemant; and St. Ignace the site of the actual martyrdom by the Iroquois Indians. Hi Becky,
Yup, Breaks have a way of slipping away too swiftly!
Love seeing all the latest photos', not only of the Holy place you visited, but also of you with your new pals. That's MAJORLY cool.
I enjoy pastel-chaulks myself and really enjoyed seeing some of your work. You're correct that the tea-pot is the most technically correct one and the shading is SUPERB...and I enjoyed ALL of your pictures.....Interesting timing, seeing your art work today, as last night I was graced with several hours at an Art-Complex's Annual Open-House. Some spectacular work (some in the $4,000.00 range)....fell in love with one as big as I am...alas, won't fit in my home nor my pocket-book.....but felt so renewed, seeing all the various techniques, being around fellow artists...and hen coming here to see your work today.....nice stuff, this thing called life.
Mall-Walking sounds like a neat endeavor. Just remember to keep it fun so it doesn't turn into a miserable "must do" event that wears down your spirit.
You yard sounds perrrrrfect...enough room to work, dream, explore, be creative....without being TOTALLY worn out or inundated with constant "needs to be done" things. Transforming it little by little with family sounds like it makes for good memories, as well as good experiences in and of themselves.
Hmmm, didn't mean to write a book here, lol.
Speaking of writing, that piece you did was well done.
Take Good Care.
Hope you have a splendid week.
Ms Lu
